We’re open for business! A letter from our CEO

September 13, 2021 Updated: February 2, 2024 3 min read

When I first spoke with Adam and Jason about the vision for Clovers in January; if someone had told me back then that we would have our first product version on the market by August, I’m not sure I would have believed it. It was only spring when we hired our first engineers—what we’ve been able to accomplish with our incredible team in such a short amount of time has been astounding. In only a few months we took our vision for faster, safer, and more equitable interviews from an idea to today’s reality.

For an enterprise class product, this pace of production and level of excellence is unprecedented; I am nothing short of amazed. My sincere thanks go to the Clovers team and those clients utilizing Beta today. It takes grit to show up, innovate, and accomplish all that we have.

I’ve also had the opportunity to use our product, and I can tell you firsthand that it truly delivers an efficient and consistent approach to the interview process. It’s helped us to hire the right people into the right roles and continues to provide valuable coachable moments along the way. It excites me to see that we are doing what we set out to do!

Don’t just take it from me, though—the highest compliments come from the dozens of potential clients I’ve spoken with. I’ve consistently received the same feedback: our intelligent interviews will significantly improve the hiring process, and our solution has arrived at the perfect time. Not only that, others are seeing the value of our vision—in only five months, we were able to sign our first paying clients.

As we continue to grow, I am confident that Clovers will help many other organizations improve their interview processes. Especially given today’s workflow, the ability to work and interview remotely is invaluable, and Clovers is well-positioned to meet those needs.

With our clients and candidates in mind, exposing bias and creating a more equitable process for hiring also remains one of our priorities. While the headlines of this summer may have less urgently focused on DE&I as compared to last year, organizations still care, and we certainly do; we know that inclusion and diversity is of utmost importance when building thriving companies and communities. In that same spirit, I have taken a CEO pledge that continues to drive me, our company core values, and the product vision.

All that said, now that Alpha and Beta are in production we are OPEN FOR BUSINESS and I am excited to see what the future holds for us! Again, many thanks to the talented individuals who came together to make Clovers such a success so early on. Your commitments and contributions are nothing short of impressive, and I look forward to watching a great team, and a great product, get even better. Own the success, and let’s keep going.

Sincerely,

Doug
