What is cost-per-hire?

The cost-per-hire is defined as the total cost of acquiring new talent to an organization. Expenses calculated in the total cost-per-hire include recruiting costs (job postings, external recruiting resources) equipment, travel, administrative and onboarding. Cost-per-hire is an important metric for organizations to evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of their recruiting and hiring processes.
